The Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) should rise up and fight for the voiceless and oppressed Nigerian workers!

The government should try by legislating laws that will protect the rights of workers in Nigeria because some so-called Big Co-operations have turned the workers into slavery. The Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) should have a routine check both in government and private sectors through sampling workers opinions, knowing their feelings and reactions towards their working conditions. In as much as, every establishment has a Union that fight for workers’ interest but above all these; some unions executives sometimes, can be bought over with money by the management which render these bodies inefficient to protect the workers' interest. In some establishments some workers have no right for annual leave; some have no access to healthcare services and while others, have no opportunities for pay rise to compliment their efforts and hard work. Many of these workers have put up their best for their employers but unfortunately, they have nothing to show for it. The NLC should rise up and spea...
