MISINFORMATION ABOUT EBOLA DISEASE

 It beats my imagination when People talk about Ebola disease and its causes which many trace its root cause to “Bush Meat”. Question! Was it not the same chain food that has sustained the rural African populace since ages?

My history book thought me about the cave Men or the Early Men who were solely depended on bush meat and roots as source of protein for their survival.

Even in Nigeria; people were still eating the so-called bush meat before a Liberian Diplomat imported the disease into the country which was recorded as the first Ebola case in Nigeria. We should stop being brainwashed by the foreign media.

The sad part of it is that instead of our so-called scientists and doctors to work hard and find solutions to the problem rather they joined the media propaganda machine in creating moral panic.

The fact remains that; the best way to keep any disease at bay is to maintain a good sanitary condition and also checkmate the hygienic level of what goes into our mouth period. Bush meat or no bush meat; Ebola is a reality which everyone must help to fight against the scourge..Lucas Anuforo.©

THE AFTERMATH OF THE ELECTION AND A WAY FORWARD:

The 2011 Presidential election in Nigeria has come and gone. It will go down in the country’s chequered history as one of the bloodiest election ever held in Nigeria. Despite the irregularities by some polling stations, the international observers who monitored the election scored Nigeria a pass mark for how the election was conducted compared to the previous elections that were held, at least there was an improvement.
